Are You Bipolar?

bipolar symptoms
Considering that bipolar disorder is one of the most commonly diagnosed health conditions in the world, it really only makes sense that you would want to learn more about it and make sure that you are not in fact suffering from it yourself. There are some ways to tell whether or not you are bipolar, and which you are going to want to learn about here.
Of course you will have to get in to see your doctor for an actual diagnosis, but if you think that you may be bipolar, there are a few symptoms that you are going to want to watch out for.
There are quite a few different symptoms that are associated with the bipolar condition. More than anything, if you find that you are constantly switching dramatically from one mood to the next, say you are thrilled one minute but then really sad and upset the next, then you may be bipolar.
Even children are affected in some cases including men and women. The condition is actually classified as being four different types. There is the Bipolar I, Bipolar II, Cyclothymic Disorder, and then Bipolar Disorder.
If you ever think that you are suffering from any of these, you need to get in to your doctor right away. They perform a few tests, asking you a few different questions and from this they conclude whether or not you are suffering from this condition and even if not, figure out what the problem is.
Treatment Of Bipolar Disorder
Now if your doctor finds that you are in fact bipolar, they are going to begin working on finding a means of treatment right away. It is important that patients never let their condition go untreated because patients can end up extremely depressed and even suicidal because of the extreme mood changes.
The first thing that your doctor is probably going to suggest is that you start on some medication. Antidepressants are typically used first, to help elevate your mood and get you on a more balanced level. These medication will not offer their full benefits until up to six weeks after you begin taking them, though they may work withing the first week or so , so remember this and have Patience.
Therapy can also produce some excellent results and has helped many sufferers deal with and get over the bipolar symptoms. This disorder can sometimes lead to suicidal tendencies, so it is essential that suffers seek professional help and guidance if they display any number of bipolar symptoms.

With all respect, may I quote:
“The first thing that your doctor is probably going to suggest is that you start on some medication.”
On the other hand, the first thing I am going to suggest to my patient is to start on some mediTation. Instead of medication.
Again, with all respect, I endare myself to write that since I understand you are the qualified one to justify.
I wonder if you would spare your most precious time to visit my web ? Since I need your opinions on my sharing under the category I Did It My Way.
Thank you.
Hi Sandy,
Thank you for your comment. We should be very careful in handling patients with mood disorders, bipolar in particular, for they are serious mental health conditions. After a complete examination of the patient is carried out, then we could decide what therapy is appropriate, depending on how mild or severe the case is. Current treatment emphasizes on pharmacotherapy and psychotherapy. Meditation is a very good alternative complimentary method, which could help reduce the stressors in the patient’s lives.
I like your site’s topic, very interesting. Keep up the good work.
